  Part of childhood, part of mental health. Used to play the Genesis ones every night at work. I am surprized it did not affect me in more unique ways.

  This was a labor of love. I was born in 1988 so I could relate to your experience to classic Sonic. The first three Sonic games shaped much of my childhood. I would draw out my own levels on paper and play the games also (Ironically... I never beat any of them (until I became an adult), but that didn't stop me from trying as a kid lol) From the music and memorization, the creators of that game gave us kids something to stew over for decades and the games still stand up to this day. Keep making you content. More than race, creed, or nationality, Sonic united a generation  💪
