  The idea that Kirsten and Bethany both think that they&apos;re the Alpha Sister and have that weird energy where they both kind of hate each other and are passive-aggressively trying to assert their dominance as the Alpha Sister is the kind of meta irony I can get behind.

  I’m a Holocaust historian and yes, that uniform is definitely a BDM uniform which was the girl’s branch of Hitler Youth. The term “Weiblich” also has some strong Nazi connotations and this is something that many Germans would pick up on and be concerned by. The BDM also focused heavily on teaching the place of aryan women in the Nazi order which was described as “Kinder, Kirche, und Küche” children, church, and kitchen. This was ingrained into girls in school, at home and in the BDM and is popular in the white supremacist and neo-Nazi factions of the tradwife movement.

  As a Christian I can not stand “Girl Defined” mentality. I heard a statement once that I’ll never forget. “There is no greater hate than the love of a Christian”.

  I think people love to speculate about Dav because they identify with him a bit. They want to see Bethany as a shrieking harpy and Dav as a repressed secret ally suffering in silence. But he isn’t. Just like you said: he CHOSE this. He is every bit as toxic as the rest of that family but he has adult theater kid energy so people want to think he’s different.

  As a Ukrainian I find it truly heartbreaking how Kristen just dismisses those boys&apos; heritage. Ukraine has a very beautiful and rich culture, knowing that it will probably never be even acknowledged to the boys is just sad
