  If Caine is eating them when they abstract, he definitely doesn&apos;t know it. He&apos;s actively upset at the idea of them abstracting and seems to see it as them abandoning him.

  Okay so if Caine has to eat someone to understand more that plays into his character design. He&apos;s a mouth with eyes inside of it, the only way he can see more is by eating.
