It’s a sad day. There was nothing I wanted more in the 90’s than a GT BMX bike. I have a GT road bike from the 2000’s that’s in good shape.

The XTR derailleur was the most elegant ever built. Majestic design. Also the down puller. Who ever drawn these and designed the surface is a genius.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I own 2 lower end GTs, love'm as if they were 5 grand each.😆<br>I was sad to find out GTs closing shop though. The end of monumental era. Thanks for the fantastic content oldshovel, you are appreciated.🙏🏾

I still have and ride my 1990 GT Avalanche! Great bike decked out with Deore XT and DX components including the unique Shimano U-II rear brake. <br>The rapid fire STI index shifters still work great and are ergonomically perfect in my opinion for braking and shifting operations. <br><br>After watching this video I am inspired to give my bike some TLC restoration.

I own 7 GT bikes, Bmx's and MTB's. I never thought that brand would be dissolved. Childhood memories and even great memories as an adult riding my GT's. It makes me sad. But your find, $8.00 for an 89 with the scythe forks as well. 😮. Find of a lifetime.
