  The magic of Rendang is that it is actually 3 dishes in one. In it&apos;s early soupy stage, it&apos;s called &quot;Kaleyo.&quot; Cook for even more hours, and it will become &quot;Rendang Basah&quot; or Wet Rendang. Cook it for 24 hours, and it will become its true form: &quot;Rendang.&quot; It will be black, it&apos;s sauces will become fine flakes, and it will taste absolutely heavenly with a nice plate of hot rice. <br><br>Oh and apparently it will last for two weeks and even longer if you put it in the fridge.

  Restaurant in Singapore, based on padang and minang dishes, &nbsp;operated by owner with Batak marga/clan (Tambunan) surname, and throw-in reviewed by a Hongkong chef.<br><br>I&apos;m delighted by how much diversity in here, truly what makes us SEAsians special.

  Love the Singapore series! As a Singaporean, Lucas is making me learn so many new things about the foods I eat growing up🤣 he describes them so well! And I love his appreciation and understanding for food and its cultures.

  He came for the rendang but was flabbergasted by the sambal sotong.. it looks so different than the usual sambal sotong, looks light but yet pack a punch
