Reality can be so fascinating and scary. As both a cat and a shark girl, you can see both quite easily. You can be feared or be the one in fear.

Wonder why cats are so climby? Well, the answer is simple: it's in their blood. Proailurus was a genus of tree climbing animal believed to be the ancestor of all cats, with their legacy persisting today in the genus Neofelis, also known as the clouded leopards of Asia. Clouded leopards are so good at climbing they can do it upside down and they're also able to climb down trees headfirst. My favorite fact about them is their fangs. Look at a clouded leopard's teeth, and you might notice that those fangs are long enough to be considered sabers. Many people call clouded leopards a modern-day sabertooth, but the truth is that those cats (Machairodonts) are all extinct.

Another cool cat fact involves the cheetah, specifically its family tree because that's a fun puzzle to solve. To begin, let's look at the wildlife of North America, specifically, the Antilocapra genus. The only member alive today is the American pronghorn, a large antelope that is said to be one of the fastest animals in the world, but you ever wonder why they got so fast? Pronghorns are still hunted by pumas and coyotes, but these guys employ ambush tactics and strategy in numbers. But would there be an animal would've been fast enough to chase a creature that speedy?

The answer would be the cheetah, only....cheetahs don't live in America, right? Actually they did. The genus Miracinonyx was a cousin of the mountain lion with the same long legs, deep chest, and steering tail as the cheetah, making it the perfect predator for the pronghorn, so that means that cougars and cheetahs (and by extension the elusive jaguarundi) are each other's closest living relatives.
