To see Paul Stanley at the height of his vocal abilities, check out I STILL LOVE YOU, from the MTV KISS UNPLUGGED show. I have endless respect for Paul Stanley. While most rock musicians start out strong when they are young, but then go downhill, Paul continued to improve both his vocal and guitar skills over the course of his career. His vocal cords were clearly starting to wear out by 2005, but he kept going until the band finally retired this year.

Paul Stanley actually starred in Phantom of the Opera in Toronto in the late 1990s. He was amazing! So thankful I got to see him.

Wow. I was head of pyrotechnics for this this tour, and I fired this performance, yet I didn't know the video existed. Awesome. The Australia/New Zealand "Unmasked" tour has a lot of great memories for me. I was just chatting with another KISS pyro I worked with on the "Dynasty" tour, and we are the only surviving members of the KISS pyro crew from that era.

IDK if anyone answered your question:<br>The effects on Paul's voice is a modulating delay. It gives it that saccharine thickness they loved in the 70s. It also helps Paul to hear in the monitors over everything else.<br><br>The delay is just a short echo, so his voice is colliding with itself. But the time of the echo is modulated (altered) so that the collisions are constantly changing. Add to that compression and reverb and you get a nice clean, clear sound.

Will miss you Ace. I stood in front of my mirror in 1977 with a Kay guitar. Had my sister flash the light on and off. Good times.

Paul sang this song almost every show for over 45 years... sadly his voice eventually broke down in the 2000's, but he belted it out like this for decades.

In 1999, Paul Stanley (KISS lead singer) starred in a Toronto production of The Phantom of the Opera, in which he played the role of the Phantom. He appeared in the musical from May 25 to August 1, and again that year from September 30 to October 31, 1999, closing the show's ten-year run in Toronto.
