This was a great list Minty! Movies really did seem to have more creepy or gory moments when we were kids! The wheelers still unsettle me, but Return to Oz is one of my favorite kids movies!

Nothing like getting traumatized as a kid in the 80s!

Not a kids movie, but Poltergeist is literally rated PG, which is kind of insane.

A bonus Sunday Minty video!!! And I've just sat down to eat my lunch. What a time to be alive! Thanks, Minty. You've made my day. I've been listening to the sound of your voice for several years now, I think, and it has become very comforting for me. My Tuesday and Friday dinners are my favourites as I enjoy your new video as I eat. Comedic Arts is a bit of an institution in my home!

Ps: I'm only halfway through this excellent, heebie jeebie envoking video, but I just want to put in my vote for Meg Mucklebones from Ridley Scott's Legend. As a kid she scared the crap out of me! Also, the Emperor's death scene in The Dark Crystal; those Skeksis were designed in Satan's own studio! As I kid I got sick once and had feverishly delerious dreams of being surrounded in bed by the Skeksis, just as the dying Emperor was. At the time I thought I was going to succumb to my lurgy and turn to dust!!!

The scariest part of Ghostbusters was the librarian, wasn't expecting that.
