Here in Europe, whenever you enter a shop, or the waiting room at a doctor's... First thing, see who is already there. And keep them in in mind. When the last person when you entered is being helped, you know you're next. In case of doubt, just ask: who's the last? And if there is an old lady, or a person with physical problems.... Let them pass first!

I doubt people behave this childishly at home where they're known, but who knows 🤷🏻♀️

13:24 "You bag after paying." - I've been living in Germany for my whole life, and I can say that you definitely don't wait to bag your groceries until you payed. You start bagging immediately instead. Everything else would be a big waste of time. Who told you this BS?

There are airplane boarding groups everywhere. The group number is printed on the boarding pass. Why would an American be confused by this?

When you have a cart full, and there is someone with just a few items? Offer them to pass before. A nice moment for them, good Karma for you.

Well, we all can laugh about these stories, Americans abroad etcetera. There are not many so stupid, I think. And, about Europeans.... I worked at a bike parking place at the station of Maastricht. We opened at 5 in the morning, first train something like 5.15pm. Some people come in rushing, in a hurry... want a speed treatment. We have some rules to follow. The answer of my co-workers and me: We open at 5. If you are late, get out of bed a bit earlier tomorrow. And the sh*t you get thrown at you... Life is so easy. Make sure you are in time. Be friendly. Help people when necessary. I often let cars pass first when I am on the e-bike. Clears the space, less pollution then when they would have to stop for me, especially buses and business traffic.... We all have to share this world, and we can choose how we want to share it.

I make a point of never helping a yank if they get into difficulties. I would help every other nationality in need of help, but never a yank. Yanks are beneath me in status and regarded as second class citizens but I am equal to everyone else in this world. The only time I interacted with a yank who was completely obnoxious and rude was in the train station at York. He was travelling to Edinburgh and without any politeness he said, which platform does the train to Edinburgh go to? And you can take my luggage to it. I immediately pointed to the platform where the non stop train bound for Plymouth (south of England) was departing and told him to take his own luggage. He then called me a vulgar name and I saw him get on the train and it departed with him on it 5 minutes later heading in completely the wrong direction on a non stop train. That really made my day. To all you yanks out there, when you show respect, politeness and humility to other nationalities, perhaps then they will not be hostile to you and not treat you with contempt that you currently deserve.

An American wouldn't say that Germans haven't learned how to queue - that's a British term. We just "line up." I'm an American who lived in Honduras back in the 90s. There, the line is a "bunch of people. The idea is to get as close as you can to person in front of you- touching, least, preferably pushing forward and when you get up. to the counter, try to get the clerk's attention first. It took me about 3 tries the first time.

I also don't understand why someone wouldn't understand boarding groups. They're used in every American airport I've flown in.

Not true:
- you don't HAVE to bag in supermarkets. You can put your things back into your cart and take the cart to your car to put everything directly into your car (I have a box in my car for my
shopping)
- it sounds in one of the stories like you need to pay and then bag at the checkout line. This will make people behind you very angry - rightfully so because that is their time they have to wait for
you. You can have the bag in your cart and put the items in there or better put everything back into your cart, pay and take the cart and go with it to your car.
- shoping carts linked togethert: This is not really to prevent the theft of carts. More a system so you put the cart back where it belongs and not just leave it in the parking lot (because you are
lazy) in the way of other cars. That was how it was done when I was very young (in the 70's and 80's) and the parking lot was full of carts and of course there were accidents.

This tendency for people to blog their boring mundane events is confusing. Real life is right in front of you. Everywhere. If you're not paying attention, you'll miss it. Your phone has a life...you don't.

The AI narrator pretends to be German but can't pronounce the most simple company names correctly. REWE is not 'REU', Kaufland is not 'Kouvländ' and so on. Security at a post office? Never heard of that. And of course we can stand in queue. This is all stupid.
