  Canadian here, and I like the European system better for restaurants where service is included. In North America, you feel pressured to give a bigger tip than you&apos;re ready to give. Service included, round out the bill to the next amount or leave a few coins on the table, and start paying servers a living wage, that would be a whole lot better. This tipping culture is getting way out of hand.

  I&apos;m not sure how having all the facilities in one room (bathroom) is better. The last thing I want when having a bath is to have someone having a c--p alongside of me and all the smell and related activity that goes with it.

  In Australia on buses and trains we have priority seating too, for elderly , pregnancy etc

  A fair warning, when you disrespect the quiet hour&apos;s in germany, someone will (and that is not a maybe) call the police on you. Some people even tried to do that because the fire fighting was to loudly.

  The first time I ran across a squat toilet was in a little restaurant in Paris. I admit, it was a bit of a culture shock. And seriously, how can you visit a foreign country without first learning about the place you are going-- the history, culture, and customs? I&apos;m one who over plans. If I&apos;m going someplace in Europe 6 months from now, I read a couple books on the history, ask people who have been there what to expect, learn as much as I can.

  Showers on hoses make it easier to rinse the, er, &quot;southern anatomy&quot;. Beats trying to stand on your head in the tub.
