And Pastors are quoting it as "The Word of God."

I’m a BSSM alumni and part of the official alumni group and can confirm, I tried to make a post to talk about the passion translation. I literally only said “Let’s talk about the passion translation” and it was never approved by admin. Many other posts have been approved since then, but none about the passion translation and I know a few people who have also attempted to post about it.

All pastors that pushed this heretical translation should have to repent on air! This is ridiculous! Thank God for Mike Winger!

As a former Mormon the angel story is way to close to the Joseph Smith account of the Book of Mormon and the angel Moroni that came to him.

They speak so flippantly about adding to the Bible 🙄 that’s terrifying to me

I just can't get past how "an angel of light showed up to me and gave me a different gospel" turned into "So I made it a new Bible". IF that happened, that should be like big red warning sirens for "whatever this is, it isn't God". The blithe laughter at "i made your new Bible better" like what are we DOING?

I am so horrified and worried for the church if they accept this lack of scholarship. My people perish for lack of knowledge.

I think it is also very dangerous as a secondary bible. For one thing it must make unsuspecting people think or feel that there is no definite meaning at all. If two very different readings are supposedly equally valid, then there is no longer any firm foundation upon which we can stand.
