I was way old enough to know better when I did an internship at IHOP and was taken in by Mike Bickel and Bob Jones. False prophecy causes unrealistic expectations. This leaves victims feeling unworthy and far from God.

John Mark, you are amazing!! I am a 71 year-old widow. I have watched you since I got YouTube, which was about a year and a half ago. I’ve watched you grow in so much maturity. And walk through so much confusion. This was an excellent episode. I’m also a victim/survivor and I understand your anger in your emotion. It is OK to feel that I don’t know why people are telling you not to. That is what I like is authentic see and emotion. We need truth we need Jesus we need the word when you sent that scripture that was the most perfect thing you could God’s gonna take you far, my son. Keep up the good work stay on the path don’t look right or left you set your Target on Jesus and helping others and you will see what the Lord has for you. Thank you so much.

It has made me angry when I have remembered back in 1991 Charisma magazine reported on Bob Jones' fall and gave no details, just mentioned that he was found to have used his prophetic gifts for sexual gain. We should have been told just what happened. It would have made it harder for him to come back. Charisma magazine has been a big part of charismatic cover up culture for decades.

Jon Mark please do not apologize for being angry about this kind of harm to innocent and hungry souls. Anger is an appropriate and scriptural response to all of this. I wish more leaders would express their outrage over this moral filth. Thank you so much!

Even more shocking about Sue's experience is that Bob Jones was willing to attack her in front of her "counselor"!!! And this "counselor" did NOTHING to stop Bob Jones, nor did he even report the assault to police!!!! True evil!

When I was at Bethel/BSSM leading worship in 2012. I had no previous history with the charismatic and they had Bob come through and he was creepy in his 80s. My discernment was firing and I wasn't bold enough to ask questions. But Bethels top leads were praising him as this hero... its shameful

One of the scariest, most effective statements in the spiritual battles of my early faith was, “Don’t play games with God. He will win every time.”

When I was a younger man and was learning about "ministry", I was taught that a man NEVER touches a woman in/on/around any "covered" or "sensitive" areas, such as stomach, breasts, private parts, etc. and that it was "best practices" to have another woman (i.e. his wife or other designated Prayer Warrior) place HER hands on certain areas, such as stomach, abdomen, chest-areas and THEN the male could place his hands over this 2nd woman's hands, etc. BUT, in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS were we, as men, supposed/allowed to directly touch the prayer recipient's "covered" or "intimate" or "sensitive" parts!

If it's covered by clothing ... that part is OFF LIMITS! Duh.

And, if there was ANY doubt or question ... the man was NOT to touch the woman. To this day, my wife and I teach that "women lay hands on women and men lay hands on men" ... and if we have ANY concerns, we do NOT lay hands on another person and simply let the power of the Holy Spirit minister to the needs of that person.

In other words .... AVOID even the APPEARANCES of impropiety! Duh. And NO private different-sex counseling sessions! EVER! PERIOD. Duh!

12 minutes in and I gotta share some thoughts. In the … I was going to type full gospel… now I don’t even know. In the Charismatic church, we are SO gullible. I know it comes from a good place. We want so badly to see God move. And it’s encouraged by all kinds of ministers telling all kinds of fantastic anecdotes of miracles and visions, “I was having this conversation with The Lord…” stories that CAN NOT be verified. It’s all subjective. I’ve been in this for 50 years. I want to see God move too. But I am no longer willing to look the other way and make excuses for the utter weirdness that goes on. It seems the weirder and more dramatic the story or prophecy that more it’s glommed on to. Then to have minister after minister get exposed. As much as they say we can, they should all be VERY thankful we are not living in the Book of Acts.

All this proves that the verse where the Lord says: "Depart from Me all you workers of iniquity. I never knew you" is very much a tangible reality.

Hey JonMark, your section on the Beatitudes was some of the best teaching I’ve heard on those chapters. Would love to see some more teaching videos from you one day in the future. God bless, and thank you for all that you do.
