  I’m not off grid, but I am mortgage free and debt free. I still have to pay utilities but I do have solar power. Where I live it’s the law I have to stay connected,. however, my expenses are so low, I get away with working a part-time job and still be able to pay all the bills. I was able to retire in my late 50s as a result of being debt free. A modest but comfortable life and couldn’t be happier. I have peace and freedom.

  Ok so here&apos;s my 2 cents. I was broke and fell and broke my leg literally. They had to go in and put ins steel rod in. I had no job for a year in my early 60s. For all those who say you can&apos;t I say you can. I tighten things up in my budget when I have to. I am constantly tweaking my budget. If things go up in one part of my budget I decrease something in another part of my budget. I had to make a debt settlement on my bills after my broken leg incident. &nbsp;I had no insurance and had to stay off my feet for 5 months. &nbsp;And Regina is right you ask what can I do without. You reevaluate and it goes back to needs vs. wants. Currently I&apos;m about halfway off grid. I use rechargeable usbc lights and fans . I&apos;m getting ready to buy a battery powered tv. The only thing on grid will be overhead lighting which I rarely use and my refrigerator and washer and dryer. Ok so water softener too. My water heater &nbsp;here is gas. My heater is gas and uses a small amount of electricity. Eventually I hope to use a power station for those 2. My electric bill during the &nbsp;heatwave was below 100 dollars and I keep the AC on 80 degrees and fans blowing. They are dreams only if you can&apos;t or don&apos;t figure out how to get things done. I&apos;m 72 female and single. I&apos;m a retired nurse and paralegal. Use your mind USBC rechargeable lights and fans you do not plug into the wall. You use a brick and cable to charge your lights and fans . You can use your cellphone brick and cable<br> I do. And it uses very little energy. I don&apos;t use solar panels because l rent. You don&apos;t even need to have a full solar system. I bought my lanterns and fans off amazon and eBay. It is so easy. Just do it

  if you have to live in your car then get a cheap tent and go on public lands where you can camp for 2 weeks in 1 spot and if you pay the small daily fee like $8 you usually have access to elect &amp; showers.... 👍🏻 I just sold my RV that I was living in for 5yrs and took part of that money and am. uying an old school bus bcs RVs are garbage BUT if your not used to really roughing it - the RV camper may be better for you... you can also buy a small pop up camper to pull behind your vehicle if push comes to shove-- were all hurting and I hope I gave someone an idea❤ God bless us all!!

  I am now 70, when I was younger (about 32), I worked in Australia for awhile. Some of my local friends said that they would live &quot;in the bush&quot; in the outback. Often in old houses or buildings that they found. They told me they would take the battery out of their truck and use it inside for lights and small things then put it back in the truck in the morning and drive to work for the day. Off the grid living for no money down, Aussie style!

  I admire your strength and tenacity! I have been living the life for 10+ years doing exactly what you speak of. I haven&apos;t found the land yet but have the rest of what you&apos;re talking about pretty much under control in a big way. I love how people give advice on what I should be doing! When I&apos;m trying to do nothing that they do. I don&apos;t remember asking for advice. I have made multiple 6 figures a year. I realized then the game everyone plays with themselves. The lie they can&apos;t except and follow. The thing&apos;s they have to tell themselves. I don&apos;t wish to run in the same hamster wheel along side them! I&apos;m very proud of you, and really needed to finally hear someone say it! &quot;Especially, from someone living it!&quot;

  Off grid a decade now flood risk low, fire risk high, trying to build soil, haven&apos;t asked permission n don&apos;t tell about collecting anything, time, energy, and faith lots of faith, started in winter in a old camper with my 2yr old daughter
