  you left out the part where the &apos;civilian&apos; ships the Germans sunk were carrying weapons to be used against Germany.

  Germany wasn&apos;t the &apos;bad guy&apos; of WWI. They weren&apos;t much different than any of the other participants. Britain invaded neutrals (Greece) despite their sanctimony about Belguim. France was just as culpable for backing Russia as Germany&apos;s &quot;blank check&quot; to AH. Serbia is always overlooked, but they were responsible for starting the war. Italy joined in a naked land grab. Lots of villians and not many heroes in the whole thing.

  This is a very English and American perspective in the opening. From everything I have consumed on the topic it seems everything Germany did to &quot;start&quot; the war was in response to French and Russian mobilizations and less to do with aggression for its own sake. That said, going through Belgium was inexcusable in a strategic sense. Also attacking civilian ships is a very British way of saying cutting off arms and ammunition shipments to the Entente which the Lusitania was carrying. The Germans also took ads out in American papers to not board the boat because of it shipping arms.

  Here&apos;s what you do.<br>(1) Declare war on Russia and France as before. Fight on two fronts as before.<br>(2) Fight a defensive war from day 1 against France. Don&apos;t go into Belgium. Don&apos;t pass go. Don&apos;t collect £200.<br>(3) Focus resources on knocking out the weaker enemy in Russia.<br>(4) Send Lenin to provoke political instability but burn any evidence of your actions.<br>(5) Knock out Russia and allow Lenin to take it over.<br>(6) Continue defensive war with France. Do not go on offensive at all. Just maintain pre-war territories. <br>(7) Approach Britain to mediate peace with France under common goal to eliminate communism from Russia.<br>(8) Combine forces of France, Germany and Britain to fight further weakened Russia and eliminate communism and install allied regime.<br>(9) Sit around campfire, sing kumbiya and regale with stories of WW2 and cold war that never happens.

  Good video, thanks.<br>A little bit about RMS Lusitania. Prior to its sinking, it was officially listed as an armed merchant cruiser, the ship was using neutral flags while in transit across the Atlantic, and the ship&apos;s captain has been ordered to ram submarines, which went against the Cruiser Rules. Even some of American diplomats were iffy about Lusitania&apos;s role in WWI, with Secretary of State William Bryan advising the White House that &quot;ships carrying contraband should be prohibited from carrying passengers&quot;. Later on Bryan resigned, stating his belief that US government&apos;s approach compromised American neutrality.<br>Many decades later, when exploring Lusitania&apos;s wreck, it was indeed found that the ship was carrying munitions, not only passengers. Small arms ammunition, shrapnel shells and fuses were all found inside the wreck. What&apos;s more, the Royal Artillery Regiment’s Historical Trust has stated that &quot;the shrapnel shells were shipped with their propellant charges fitted, and were thus, live. Each shell therefore contained 1.25 lbs of Cordite MD, in addition to its burster charge. The shells, listed as being 1,248 cases of shrapnel were placed in the forward hold, just below the baggage room, and were transported in unlined softwood crates.&quot;

  Germans losing was an absolute disaster for the world. <br><br>The start of that war was the beginning of the end of what could&apos;ve been for western civilization. The timeline could&apos;ve been much better for everyone. We are experiencing fallout from that disaster to this day
