  I have to give the MCU this - they turned what I consider one of the most boring characters in the comics, into one of my favorite characters in the movies. &nbsp;Between the writing keeping him grounded, and Chris Evans&apos; iconic performance, Cap was the heart of the Avengers for me.

  I think The First Avenger is probably my favorite MCU movie. Great story telling, and pacing, plus I&apos;ve always loved that era of history. <br>Thanks for the breakdown!

  One of Hitler&apos;s minions <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar_f0VFfwh0&amp;t=1769">29:29</a> is played by actor Anatole Taubman, who earlier in Band of Brothers played a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. &nbsp;The same actor portraying characters on both ends of this spectrum is an interesting parallel to Dr Erskine&apos;s comment that &quot;the first country the Nazi&apos;s invaded was their own&quot;.

  I&apos;m sure it&apos;s been explained a million times before, but the one main component on why Schmidt became Red Skull was he didn&apos;t provide himself with a shot of penicillin beforehand - the serum therefore also enhanced the bacteria that caused Schmidt&apos;s deformity. &nbsp;When Erskine gives a shot to Steve, Steve thinks that&apos;s it and says that wasn&apos;t so bad...Erskine replies, that was the penicillin.
