  The "swamp potatoes".......when I moved to Louisiana and met my husband, one of the first dinners my future mother in law made to "introduce a Yankee to some real southern cooking" was this dish. Although in her version, the fresh green beans were the major ingredient.  She would cut them into bite sized pieces, then add chunk red skinned potatoes,  chunks of smoked ham, onion and garlic and cook until the potatoes were fork tender. Delish!!!

  I had to stop the video with the first one, swamp potatoes, why?  Because I grabbed my crock and got it going!!!!  Dinner tonite is cooking!!!  LOL  then I came back and watched the rest!!!  Thanks for sharing!

  The Salisbury steak TV dinner comment brought back fond memories of my younger days. When I was growing up our family didn’t have a ton of money but on Saturday’s we got to choose a special meal. The Salisbury steak TV dinner was always my choice. I also loved a frozen chow mein that used to be out there. <br>Thank you Nicole❣️❣️ Love your channel. No drawn out chopping and prepping.
