  I think the front office realized, with how good their team is, this pick (from the Falcons) might be the highest pick they ever get for a long time. So they thought this was their one chance to get Stafford’s retirement plan. They’d rather take a chance on someone than risk cycling veteran QBs like the Colts and Steelers do

  It’s always funny how people bring up the rams not getting more offensive pieces but they forget stafford had a back injury last year 🤣. So a backup qb makes sense lol

  As a life long Rams fan, I’m hopeful that Simpson turns into a franchise QB but based on limited sample size, it’s unlikely.  On draft night, I was so disappointed that the pick wasn’t Bains or a WR or TE that I turned it off and avoided NFL news for several weeks until the Myles Garrett trade.

  The Only possible defenses I could ever see for the Ty Simpson pick Schematically is that he's the only QB who's had the most snaps under center.

  Any QB that is coached by Mcvay is going to be a better QB than they would have on most teams. Simpson would probably be a lifetime backup if he went to another team with a bad track record of developing quarterbacks. He has a chance to be pretty good under Mcvay. Maybe not a hall of famer but a solid Starter .
