Started following recently because I found one of your Salmon Fishing tips videos. I am a fairly new fisherman and i've never caught a salmon. I'm looking to get out to fish the lake soon. Good to see you are uploading again.

Great informative video. I've yet to catch a Chicago harbor salmon 😢, but this year is going to be my year... HOOK'EM 🎣

I've never done salmon fishing before and didn't even know you could fish them from shore in Chicago.  Thanks for the info!

I’ve been going out a lot but been getting short striked on spoons a ton. Been tuff so far

I run full 30-50lb braid with 20ft of 20-30lb fluoro as shock leader (tied with FG). That way when I run into snags (LOTS of them near Chicago), I can hold the reel and just yank the lure out 9 times out of 10 - whereas if I use a lower poundage line, the line will get cut or break due to overstraining.

Thanks man! I grew up with my dad rigging me up off montrose but have no clue how to fish it myself. I’ve been learning everything because he never really taught me to rig! He funnily enough has a ton of those rapala divers but they’re glass minnows. I wonder if that’s what we were using.

Do you fish the husky jerk like a crank or like a jerk bait

Did you change the hooks on the Husky? If so what size?

Do you use powerpro braid?  I went out last week with spiderwire braid and couldn’t even get a reef runner out that far. I blamed the line. Heavy spoons were casting.ok.

Question, you’re sponsored by Bridgeport Bait and Tackle, what do you do for terminal tackle since they have jack shit but spawning bags and cocaine residue. Or is it only for spot burner pro staff? People want answers.
