I feel like the remake version of the clown is more clean cut, physically scary and horrifying and that adds to the clown fear while the original is very realistic and rough around the edges with a genuinely creepy , unsettling energy that reminds you why people are afraid of clowns in the first place 😭😭😭

Tim Curry is one of those actors who makes everything he's in so much better. You can tell he's having a blast as Pennywise. As a kid, he's pretty scary. As an adult, he's hilarious. And that laugh is iconic.

I prefer this one over the remake. Tim Curry was amazing.

This version has a dear place in my heart. This movie traumatized a whole generation. And 1. Because of Tim Curry performance and 2. He looks like a real clown and it made it more scary because any clown could be evil. <br>The kids made also a great performance.

I prefer this version of the clown tbh, having it just be Tim Curry in a costume makes it feel way more sinister. Skarsgard's version isn't bad at all but it feels much more supernatural than this one and for some reason it makes it less creepy to me.
