  On why the Chinese prefer harder or firmer beds and sofas. More than 10 years ago I had slipped disc and my bed mattress then was soft and it made my backache worse . I was told by my Chinese doctor to change my mattress to a much firmer one so that I have some support for my back and it definitely feels much better after I changed my mattress . &nbsp;That’s the reason why the Chinese use firmer mattress . It’s for the support when they sleep . <br>My sofa was from France and it’s low and deep , hence I would tend to slouch on it which causes a lot of pressure on my back .. unlike the Chinese design, we are forced to sit upright which lessen the pressure of the back/ spine . <br>Hope this helps to explain why Chinese beds and sofas are firm and harder . I learnt from my backache experience. Before I too love soft mattresses and sofas .

  I was guessing $3000 USD. I was wrong. You guys got yourself a real good deal. &nbsp;Can&apos;t beat that price anywhere in the USA especially with all your amenities.

I’m quite surprised that many viewers consider this apartment luxurious. As an export-oriented economy, China’s actual purchasing power far exceeds what exchange rates suggest. For example, in my city:** &nbsp;<br>- <b>*A new Volkswagen ID.3 costs about €25,000,*</b> &nbsp;<br>- *A Big Mac meal is around $3,* &nbsp;<br>- <b>*A night at a Hilton hotel goes for roughly $90.*</b> &nbsp;<br>**Of course, some Western products are priced even higher than their exchange-rate equivalents.

  For $850, you can’t even rent an old room in Boston with shared bathroom, not to mention the whole apartment with 3 bedrooms. This apartment would cost at least $5000 in Boston.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=actM5P9sUnA&amp;t=956">15:56</a> just add a 1 inch frame + Sheetrock structure from the ceiling to about a foot under the rails, in front of the curtain rails, runs the whole length, patch, sand and paint the same color with the walls, to hide it. It’s an older style but works too.

  Love your apartment! &nbsp;Three years ago, I was paying $2,200 per month for a 857 sq foot apartment in Charlotte, NC. &nbsp;It was a beautiful high rise building with lots of amenities. &nbsp;I had a kitchen, dining area and living room on one side, and then a bedroom, bathroom and closet on the other side. &nbsp;No balcony.
