  Real ball knowers know that Montreal deserves a team before any other expansion candidate. &nbsp;The city didn&apos;t abandon the Expos, the league did.

  Jeffrey Loria is an actual menace for basically leading the Expos to their eventual demise in just two years and then almost killing the Marlins over the course of a decade in a half after the MLB &quot;rewarded&quot; him with the franchise in exchange for Montreal.

  I live in Montreal and you see Expos merch everywhere these days. All the sports and hat shops sell expos hats and jerseys. If I wear my expos hat around town I almost always get compliments on it from usually middle aged and older strangers who love to talk about how they loved going to games back in the day. The passion for the game is still here.

  Im 35 and up till now, thought the expos turned into the nats in like 93. Then it dawned on me even 2004 was over 20 years ago at this point. Im getting old way too fast

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abma-3IXFF0&amp;t=498">8:18</a> For some more context, Quebec was going through some pretty rough financial times, with hospitals being forced to close across the province, for example, hence why Premier Bouchard didn&apos;t want to fund a new stadium. Obviously, it still sucks, but it was more complex than just the Olympic Stadium debt.

  The bit about Bartolo Colon reminded me about the Seattle Supersonics. At the time of recording, and before any expansion plans are announced, the last 2 active Sonics players are: Beloved journeyman and recent NBA champion Jeff Green, and war drones investor Kevin Durant

  Well I didn&apos;t expect to cry on a wednesday morning...<br>I grew up in Montreal and the Expos were my team.<br>I remember everything you covered in this video.<br>I remember sitting in my living room with my dad watching the Expos last game. We were both crying, not capable of holding back our tears as the team we loved was leaving forever.<br>I was so mad at the time I stopped watching baseball entirely for a whole year.<br>20 years later, it still hurts to see what could&apos;ve been.<br><br>Thanks for this video SRS, very well done!
