Thanks for sharing, Victorian London, wasn't the only time and this lifestyle was employed upon people and I am here to testify to, and when you must make the choice between warmth and nourishment, it is something you never forget, it builds a lasting character,that stays with you always.

This could be the case up until the 1970s, many homes didn’t have central heating,only coal fires or perhaps paraffin heaters. I know because that’s what we had.
