The key to Aussie grocery shopping is always looking for the deals of the week instead of just grabbing things because a lot of places mark them up to discount them.

I find that in Australia the prices fluctuate by season far more than in many other countries. For example - I've seen those same 125 gram packages of blueberries for $2 or as high as $8. Shopping with the season is key. As well - produce at markets is often cheaper than in Woollies

We are Australians and shop at Aldi, which is considerably cheaper than Woolworth

The cheese cabinet you were at was the premium cheese section, you can get much cheaper cheeses in the dairy aisle.

Cadbury chocolate is made the same in the UK and Australia. Thats why they employ “chemical engineers” so the product remains consistent. I know a chemical engineer who worked for Cadbury. He told me the difference in flavour is because the milk tastes different between the countries because of the different grass they graze from.

Just to clarify, we work on fruit and vegetable seasons in Australia. So at the moment berries are out of season, orange and apples are coming into season and are cheaper.

It is called Tomato Sauce because it is actually made from Tomatoes, not extract under food laws.

If you are going to compare supermarket prices guys, you should be comparing like for like. For example, the Chicken Breast should be compared per Kilo, not pack size. A quick check online and I see Tesco in the UK has Skinless Chicken Breast at 6.84 British pound per kilo. A quick online currency conversion gives me an Australian price of $14.55.

Woolworths online have the same exact product at $12.00 AUD. So same exact product (neither on sale), the Australian price is $2.55 AUD cheaper or 1.23 pounds cheaper in Australia.

You won't get an accurate comparison unless you compare the same product at the same weight.
