  I lived in Alice Springs in the early 1980s and had an American tourist complain that they came all this was to see Uluru (still known Ayer's Rock at the time) only to be there when it was raining. She could not grasp how lucky she had been to see waterfalls coming off the Rock.

  Kangaroo tail makes the best soups, stews or BBQ. Slow cooked the meat falls off the bone, is sweet and tender. I grew up on it, and just love it
