This was great, I had never heard from the perspective of the first soldiers to go into Afghanistan.

Comment from European here.... As most people I still remember where I was and what I was doing when the second plane hit live on CNN. The chills went down my spine and knew at that moment we where all at war with whoever was behind it . Whe where ready to fight for the US as they had done for us, so when they called upon us we stood up. Each year on this day I still hold a moment of silence for whoever was affected that day and all misery that followed. Thank you for the insight of those first days and I salute you and all that helped!

Would have helped to provide more context around those that were fired since they were referenced multiple times.

One of the CIA's first actions after 9/11 was to put Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's Afghan boss on their payroll. Saudi backed Wahhabi professor Abdul Rasul Sayyaf employed, trained & mentored KSM since 1987 but CIA officer Gary Schroen still gave him a $100,000 retainer in October 2001, while the WTC still burned in New York. That was the day the War-on-Terror was lost.
