  I&apos;m a professional cellist. If I don&apos;t play for a week, I still &apos;know&apos; everything but it takes a few hours to regain the fine motor skill proficiency. Skill fade is real

  Semi pro Trombonist and Brass Teacher here. I took a few years off playing and started again just over a year ago. What amazed me is not only how much you remember but how much you forget. The one thing about taking a break is it does allow you to undo any bad habits.

  Well done Captain Petter... I am a qualified chef with 17 years experience in various establishments ranging from fast food to &nbsp;5 star fine dining... After 3 years off, due to trying something different I returned to catering.... I was all over the place for about 3 months... Health and safety, all needed to be updated and signed off... New practices in the kitchen,,, New technology that you have to be trained on.... &nbsp;I just like a hearty hot stew..(Whats all this stuff about dry Ice and Foam bubbles)? &nbsp; Anyway, &nbsp;That is just in &nbsp;a kitchen... Thankfully I have never poisoned anybody but even though I am not flying an aircraft,With people on board... The same principle exists in all careers.... Safety First.

  I think you should do it in a airbus simulator. start it cold and fly a rout. then take a airbus crew and put them in a boeing simulator. see to it that nobody in the cockpit is typerated on the aircraft the simulator is for.

  @MentourPodcast congrats! But that begs the question: if you wanted to be certified for the 767 or the 787, what would that entail? And what about switching to Airbus? A video about this would be AMAZING.
