  My hubby was a huge classic rock fan. I havent been able to listen to it since he passed. Finding your channel has brought it all back for me. I am a country fan but I grew up on this kind of music. What I find missing in all the new music is the instrument solos. There doesnt seem to be any jams anymore. Although tears are running down my face remembering how my hubby and I made our own cassettes, load the kids up in the van we had and hit the road. My husband had installed one hell of a sound system in the van and we would have the windows down while we would all kids included sing all these kinds of songs. Again thank you for bringing it back on my life.

  I think the difference between the way we listened to music and your generation does is that we pay attention to the lyrics a lot more. The songs in the 70s were loaded with meaning and we looked for songs for guidance as well as for entertainment.

  The "sound" of the Eagles is one of a kind. It's not that the music has familiarity to it but that the harmonies are what gives them their sound. So glad I grew up in this era

  Now I get why people in the comment section are saying .... Quiet... He talked right over the section where Glenn took over the lyric writing from Jackson Brown. "It's a girl my lord"

  I believe that the Eagles invented "Country Rock". Their music always had a country sound with a rock edge to it.

  I've been to that corner in Winslow, Arizona and it has a statue of a guy standing there with a guitar and an old Ford flatbed truck on display. It is so cool!
