If there was no Linda Ronstadt, there wouldn't be Eagles. She originally put them together to be her back up band. I miss the '70s. It was more fun being 20 in the '70s than 70 in the '20s.

I don't think we realized what we had back then... It was just our music. Not that we took it for granted...we loved it. People fought over rock versus disco and most of the people I knew laughed at country... But everybody I knew loved the Eagles. (Everyone I knew called them THE Eagles.) These days I realize how special it all really was.

I’m 58, Gen X, grandma rocker at heart. The Eagles are in my top favorite 3 bands and I had the privilege of seeing them live in 94 on the Hell Freezes Over tour. Individually, they are great. Together they were special. No other words.

They all have studio backup singer quality voices as well as each having great lead vocals. It’s a huge part of what makes them so special.
