This was in the Barcelona Olympics. Unfortunately Freddie had passed before and didn’t have a chance to do it there with her.

Freddie’s sheer passion always makes me cry. Words really can’t describe this. I burst into tears when I first heard it, when it was originally released. Love your reaction to two superb performers.

Fantastic reaction! Many songs and artist are called great, but this true greatness. Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe were some of the best singers in genres of music. They did a whole album together I suggest you check out The Golden Boy - Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe. This was the first collaboration from someone in the pop/ rock world with an opera singer. Freddie Mercury did not just the song, he and the pianist in the video, Mike Moran, also composed the song.

Pretty amazing, eh? Two legends. This tells the story of Freddie’s first meeting with “Montsy” He was very nervous!

An amazing accomplishment. (I can just imagine as they’re walking off Freddie remarking, “well that went pretty well.” Lol
