  Just getting into comics myself. Don't sleep on your local library! They often have free partnerships with hoopla or other comic databases, as well as having collections of physical comics. I've read Absolute Batman vols 1&2, Batman Year One, and am working through Watchmen right now all for $0! (Commenting this as a fellow book lover who spends a lot of money 😅). Great video!

  I got into Superhero comics [age 60] last year through DC Compacts & Finest. A great way to read an old fashioned story [classics] is with Classics Illustrated.

  Funny I found this video. This last year I've become obsessed with comics too. I must have bought 200+ books. I was only going to be buying Transformers, but then I found myself also buying Void Rivals and GI Joe, because they form the Energon Universe. Then it was only Absolute Batman. Next thing I know I'm collecting all Absolute titles. Then it just got a bit out of control 😅.  Image Comics is the publisher I most buy from. They have these compendiums that collect entire series that are totally worth it.

  Just getting into comics as well! DC's Compact Comics line is the sole reason for this. They're affordable and often include full runs compiled into one manga-sized edition. You should definitely check these cool little editions out! Great alternative if you don't want to break the bank 😂

  Been reading comics since I was around 8 or 9 and got back into the hobby when I was in my 20s. There's so many good comics out there if you take the time to look. Some of my favorites are Gerber's Man-Thing and Howard The Duck, Jed Mackay's Moon Knight, DeMatties' Captain America and Dr. Fate, Kirby's Thor, Mike Grell's Green Arrow and The Warlord, Judge Dredd, Kirby's The Demon and OMAC, Harvey Pekar's American Splendor, Don Mcgregor's Killraven Kyle Baker's Plastic Man, and Wendi & Richard Pini's Elfquest. I also really loved a lot of what Valiant was doing (90's and current) but they're slowly losing the sense of what made them great due to general mismanagement by DMG

  Try Absolute Martian Manhunter, I thought it was fantastic and by far my favorite in the absolute line.
