IT really is that time of the year. Pun intended. I am reading IT for the first time this spook season.

Saturday Night Ghost Club was so good! I think the bad reviews expected this to be less lit fiction and more straight horror….thats what nick cutter is for!!!

I have The Twisted Ones. Haven't read it yet but it sounds good. I'm also interested in getting No One Gets Out Alive.

If you read the author’s notes on The Twisted Ones, you’ll know she mentions The White People by Arthur Machen as inspiration. I tracked it down and read it and it was an interesting story in its own right, but I found I appreciated how it added more context to Kingfisher’s book.

Our share of night was absolutely incredible, one of my top 5 favourite horrors!

I agree, spooky season starts Sept 1. I’m on my 2nd spooky season book, NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. First read Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. I’ll have to look into some of these books you recommend even though I have 8ish other books on my spooky season TBR list. 😊

Cool list. Some books you don't see repeated over and over.

Thank the YT Algo your video popped up on my feed. Great to see my guy Adam Nevill at the top of the scary list, and I've added the other titles to my B&N Wish List.

Agree! Halloween is the only holiday I plan books around and it’s time to start! I read a classic & something modern every year. I’ve got one last classic to get through - Jekyll and Hyde- and then I’m probably reading The Troop cuz it’s easy to get, but I actually really want to read Cows.
