  My great grandfather married his 2nd wife when he and my great grandmother had been married for 10 years.  The difference was he told my great grandmother that he was going to do it.  You see, they were Mormon.  But that didn't stop my great grandmother from being very hurt.  The first family lived in Ogden, Utah, & eventually there were 12 children.  The second family was hid for many years in Oregon & various places.  Eventually the second family ended up in Logan, Utah., and eventually there were 9 children.  I believe my great grandfather died about 1912.  After he died, another woman came forward and had some proof she was his 3rd wife & presented her 12 year old son as another heir.  Yes, my great grandfather had a good deal of money.  The law recognized all the children as heirs but not the 2nd & 3rd wife.  Even today my maiden name is very well known in Utah, though I was fortunate to not have lived there nor was I raised Mormon.  I am sure many people have similar stories in their families.  My conclusion is it gave men the okay to lust after  other women legally in the eyes of the Mormon church, though not lawfully.

  Clifton Webb never married in real life.  He lived with his mother until she died at 91

  Emily is SENSATIONAL. God bless her. She's the jewel here. Indeed.🌹a great lesson in the pitfalls of pride and forgiveness. I noticed abit of gaslighting as well when he started to manipulate Emily by blaming her for his foolishness. Beware the narcissist.👀🧐🤨
