They hired a driver with no CDL, with an expired license, whose previous job was at Pizza Hut to drive one of their trucks. Then he crushed a man, continued on with his route, didn't fill out an inspection report, and later complained about a faulty brake pedal. Simpy stunning.

you know everything is fake when he gives the "wrong" answer for the date of the accident... considering he is being deposed to talk about that specific accident.

This guy asserts that risk management at his company includes making sure they cover their ass via insurance coverage instead of implementing and auditing safety procedures that would mitigate risk, which is the actual definition of risk management. So basically, they would prefer to just ensure that they can put out the fire after the fact instead of fireproofing to eliminate the risk.

Why was someone standing between his car and the back of a truck facing uphill? I mean, liability still is what it is, but you shouldn't ever stand between vehicles, let alone when they're running.

There is a daily vehicle inspection report which is done at the end of a driver's shift. There is no such thing as a pre-trip inspection report. Pre-trip inspections are required and have to be noted in the driver's hours of service log, but there is no pre-trip report.
