I need to see more of him, but maybe the kid is growing up and that is why he's a bit less goofy? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

SNK and bad decision are two things that can't be separated 4:24

I feel relieved knowing the celebrity crossover ends with Salvatore Ganacci. Hokutomaru returns.

"I was gonna say cute and funny. Can't say that" LMAO.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. They watered down his identity quite a bit.

To be fair, It's not gone completely. His intro where he loses balance when trying to make a cool entrance is good. His run animation is still pretty goofy (even if it's not as goofy as the Naruto run he had in MOTW). His new back throw is also pretty silly too.

However, every other animation and facial expression has been toned down. A basic example would be his walk animations. So much personality is just gone.

Not a big fan of them getting rid of his wooden sword/stick either. It was one of the things that distinguished him from the rest of the cast and they just took it away in favour of giving him more Andy stuff. I understand they want to emphasise Hokutomaru's connection to Andy, but it's needlessly come at the cost of what he already had.

His new outfit is fine. He just had standard ninja garb on before (not that there's anything wrong with that) so I think they wanted to make him look more distinctive. I think what throws it off though, is the hair. I know the poor kid had a downright tragic hairline for a 14 year old boy in MOTW but they could've fixed that while still giving him a similar style.

At least he still looks fun to play.

I still can't believe they sacrificed Duck King for Salvatore. One real person was already enough, and even then I didn't want a real person at all
