  Whenever you feel like you aren&apos;t smart just remember KG, you learnt to fly fish and went straight to state record and massive fish that&apos;s known for being extremely hard even for experienced fly fisherman

  Man great job Kendall, I’ve fished for bows “rainbow trout” for as long as I could remember and I’ve caught some decent fish some close to ll pounds but not often at all. Catching fish like that for you first time you’ll never see an average 12 inch trout the same.<br><br>PS: WE NEED MORE FLY FISHING FROM KENDALL, ITS A MUST!!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFhkPERo37c&amp;t=180">3:00</a> for the hookset, make sure the line goes to the reel so the drag can do its thing. You had your finger on the line to the butt of the rod and it didn&apos;t get a chance to release tension like it would on the reel. I&apos;ve lost a few big fish this way as well. You also want to make sure you never touch the reel when the drag should be going out, unless you are about to get into some trouble with an obstacle. Also keep the rod parallel to the fish and to the water. The top of the water moves faster than the bottom. The more time the fish is on top of the water, the more likely you are to break off or lose the fish. Just pull the fish on top of the water when you have a good opportunity to net it. Lastly, you want the fish in front of you when you are ready to net. That way you can pull up, and the current will bring the fish to you. Oh and if they get much downstream of you, that&apos;s usually a lost fish. Sometimes you have to run them down and get him back above you. If it&apos;s a big fish and he gets more than 15 feet down from you, then it is a goner. At least nymphing wise where you can&apos;t force them like streamer fishing.
