  I&apos;ve always personally viewed it like &quot;Lore is like a forest, and story is like a cabin. And a work of fiction is like a month-long vacation in this location. Lore with no story is just untamed wilderness, making your vacation miserable and aimless. Story with no lore is just a boring cabin without a scenic backdrop, your vacation will be comfortable but it will be boring and forgettable.&quot;<br><br>You kinda need a bit of both for a good work of fiction.
