Uncle Doug, once again you've saved my bacon! A 1961 6G4A Brownface Super came into my shop for repairs and a reliability update. The filter caps had been replaced previously. I found that some of the Astron coupling caps were leaky so I replaced them with Jupiter Vintage Tone caps. When I got done, the Tremolo had stopped working. After much head scratching and fruitless staring at the schematic, I watched this video. Bingo. The three oscillation caps had drifted, and one of the off brand caps I had substituted for an unavailable Jupiter cap value had gone short circuit. Your video helped me narrow down the issue and get the stunning Harmonic Tremolo working again. For the umpteenth time, my Patreon subscription to your channel has been worth every penny! Many thanks Uncle Doug for being the ultimate reference for work on vintage Fender amps!

Man those old Fenders have such a musical vibe. They even seem to balance string output. Thanks so much for all the work you do on these videos. Just the right amount of technical/historical & humorical.

Best amp videos on the internet hands down. Finding a new Uncle Doug videos make my day. And what a killer amp. I’m a sucker for blonde piggyback Bassman, Tremolux & Bandmasters. Classiest looking amps imo. Really love the oxblood grill cloth versions from 1962
