Because of the A-3XXXX serial number, I initially thought this was a 1973 Bassman, but later discovered that it was actually a 1968 version.....i.e. a blackface circuit in a silverface cabinet. I apologize for any confusion.

Set volume to 4 or 5 and it's one of the best sounding amps ever!

I've gone back and forth in my head on fuse before switch or vice versa...I think there's a reasonable likelihood at some point, a person will check the fuse with the amp plugged in. I think I'm with Uncle Doug on this one. Thanks for helping me make my mind up. Oh, and thanks for this video, I'm adding the NFB on/off right now to a 65' Bassman. Uncle Doug is a national treasure.

Thank you Doug, I have a much greater appreciation for classic Fender amps these days.
Oddly, A Fender was my first amp. A Kinda weak and mundane single 12"... 12 or 15watt S.S. ( Faux )Bassman combo... brand new...I was 14 in '72. & Clueless, not now though. Each one of your episodes is a unique Journey. And well worth the time.
