It is absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't allow Chris to have a house key because he was "too young" 🤦<br>If he is "too young" to have a house key then he is also too young to be left alone on the porch until someone else gets there!

I hope Derrick let’s Stephanie produce as many parts covering this case as she desires. The facts are so shocking and deserve to be heard. Those poor little boys. So heartbreaking.

3 years ago, I lost my youngest son in a house fire. as hard as it is to talk about him, I want ppl to talk about him. I want ppl to remember him. I can't imagine any parent who lost their child wanting it any other way. they are here for such a short amount of time. they didn't have 40, 50 years of life to make an impact on ppl. my boy only had 5 years, 8 months, and 3 days. I constantly worry ppl will forget him. please keep talking about the children. I know it's hard, but it means so so much. thank you.

Hearing about the little boy in his scout uniform and wanting to be a police officer then being put in a position where him and his friends are in danger, can just imagine him trying to help and be brave for his friends …. Heartbreaking 💔

Stephanie: "I don't know how he'd know the time without an iphone". This is how I know I'm old, I remember watches existing. :p

I loved Derek's statement. "It is important to look at these kids as more than just evidence."

This case could easily be a 5 or 6 part series. This is a case I don't revisit often. It's the stuff that nightmares are made of. For me, any case involving a child usually is. But this case... I have literally lost sleep over this one. I know that Stephanie and Derek will give it the respect it deserves. I have prepared myself, and I'm ready. Let's do it.

Saw today, Chris Andersen retired homicide detective, wearing a Criminal Coffee Co t-shirt, while being interviewed on another popular YouTube channel. Thank you for your hard work and bringing us so much detail on such interesting cases. I'm here for it all no matter how many parts!

Poor lil Chris-it seems he had a pretty rough, tough and strict life(what small life he did get to live). No bike, gets whipped for not waiting outside(being locked out the house is how I see it!), behavioral issues……poor sweet soul. All three of these boys were taken way to soon. RIP

Truthfully and as someone who wasn't diagnosed or medicated for ADHD until the age of 20, I wish that I had a prescription for ritalin at age 8. I need my medication to function like a normal human now at 24, and I remember my struggle to focus or even regulate my emotions severely when I was that age. My medication changed me into someone who can better deal with life without constant suicidal ideation because I felt like I wasn't designed for society as it is now. I know that ADHD meds can be slightly over-prescribed for energetic kids, but please don't immediately assume that a child with a ritalin prescription doesn't actually NEED that medicine.

Playing with fire as a young child can be an outward symptom of being a victim of abuse. It’s possible that Christopher was a victim of significant abuse by someone very close to him.
