  What makes Beavis and Butt-Head work, especially here in the states, is that we all went to school with a Beavis and Butt-Head.  Mike Judge had his finger on the pulse of the culture in the early 90's

  Mike Judge is completely underrated as a writer. King of the Hill, Office Space, Silicon Valley, Idiocracy,... ALL brilliant!

  Bevis and Butthead were two of the most American and rock n roll this nation had for awhile. MTV did this one right.

  I remember seeing this in the theater, it was packed and everyone was enjoying it. Crazy how long ago this came out.

  Bevis & Butthead made their American public premier with an MTV animated variety show called "Liquid Television." They had a few episodes, just a couple minutes long, in it; including the Frog Baseball episode. I remember them being one of the most recognized features of the show. Then MTV announced they were going solo and were going to have their own half hour show.

  I always thought that the opening scene was a take on Starsky and Hutch.<br>Two cops working the street in the 1970&apos;s... hooker slapping the one guy.<br>It even has the right car.<br><br>I promise it was really from Starsky and Hutch

  I remember seeing this on opening night packed theater. The airplane scene, the desert hallucination, and the white house scenes were... huh huh....cool.

  I always wondered about the parents of these guys and did not know (or have forgotten) they showed Butt-Head&apos;s dad. The resent sequel touched base on the concept of them having parents and a bit of a somewhat sad moment when Butt-Head in his confusion asks the professor &quot;You know who my dad is?&quot; which she interprets as a threat. And another sad moment when we realize Beavis&apos;s mom wanted to make sure he knew she loved him or something to that effect but it did not go beyond that and teased us about a possible future reveal regarding his mother. There is a lot of mystery surrounding their parents and why they are never seen. Our glimpse into their world for the most part is time locked in circa 1993-6 and a tiny bit of them as middle-aged and also as old men still friends at a nursing home.
