  This is such an exciting route and expansion. 2 Daily RT&apos;s for a starter state-run service like this is phenomenal. And only $15 bucks for tickets?! Amtrak is really landing a slam dunk on this expansion and that makes me super happy.

  As a New Orleans born person, though exited after Katrina like Amtrak did, I am honestly pretty excited to finally see gulf coast rail service restored after 20 years, most of my family lives in and around New Orleans &amp; Coastal Mississippi as far east as Gulfport, and it&apos;s great to see that for only 15$ It&apos;s very possible to skip the rush hour traffic in &amp; out of New Orleans for a train. I even plan on taking this to an Air Show at Kessler AFB with family at the start of November. This makes me happy seeing this brought back to life under a new Train.

  You produced a wonderful story on the gulf coast towns. Very interesting facts along with photos and rail history. I would like to see a look from the train when it starts service, but the fact that you took the time to lay out such a great story makes this video worth it.   I don’t think the ridership or passion for passenger rail along that corridor ever went away. I don’t think they ever stopped waiting for the train to come and I don’t believe they will.
