I’d lived 42 years in US, 32 years is Los Angeles county. Worked in LA & Hollywood. Went to Santa Monica / Venice practically every week; sometimes in Huntington Beach & Santa Barbara. I thought I had a decent life back then, until I made a big move to Vietnam Saigon almost 3 years ago. I call it a new chapter of my life. I love my life here; always something to entertain myself; I don’t get bored. Now I realize that I didn’t really have a life in the US. I don’t want to go back there.

As a Veteran myself, I found his insight and this video very informative. Thanks for having him as a guest!

Andy has found purpose in Da Nang, building a healthier lifestyle, and discovering real community is inspiring especially for veterans. The cost of living comparison makes it clear how life can truly change by stepping outside your comfort zone. Totally agree that happiness and new opportunities require making that first move and not waiting for life to improve on its own. Thanks for sharing such honest insights!

I know Andy, He was actually one of my closest friends in Vietnam when I was there. Glad here’s doing well. I have vlogs and shorts videos of us traveling and exploring the Vietnam in my YouTube channel.

The example he gave "getting high by taking a motorbike to the mountains or Hoi An" is so true,I rented a motorcycle when I was in Danang and taking trips on the motorcycle to the places within couple hours within Danang is one of the best feelings I have had.

Im retired navy, 20 years, and dissabled. Drive truck and have no savings, because it all goes to cost of living. It is sooo expensive to live here, taxes are so high, food cost so high, im considering moving overseas.
