  I never saw their end of marriage as Kim Gordon&apos;s fault. I just looked at it as Thurston Moore&apos;s fault because he was the one who cheated.

  When I was a kid back in the late 80s and early 90s I worked as a stagehand at a local live music club. The club would bring in national alternative and metal acts all the time. I met so many stars of that era. Everyone from Motorhead to Cinderella to fishbone to the Red Hot chili peppers. I even met metallica. I even talked to Dave grohl right before he joined nirvana. <br><br>Kim Gordon was the only rock star that I meant that gave me butterflies in my stomach. She was so beautiful. At that moment, Cupid&apos;s arrow struck my heart and I have been in love with Kim Gordon ever since.

  They were always very different people, Thurston is tall and very gregarious and social and loved hanging out with the kids and fans, the other musicians. Very funny and loved to talk, talk, talk (mostly about himself). Kim is tiny and was always very quiet. Very guarded. I met her many times and could never have a long conversation with her. I always thought she might have Asperger&apos;s, but maybe she is just very shy. But she was always kind and I am sure she is an excellent mother. She&apos;s very smart. When she became a style icon I was pretty shocked because she was always very plain and even seemed contemptuous of the glamour girls on the New York scene. I guess she found the right stylist/designer. Lee is the great talent in that band!

  I &apos;ve seen Sonic Youth at least 25 times. I saw their last NY show at Williamsburg Waterfront. I was very clear that there was something going on between Kim and Thurston. She barely looked at him and when she did, she scowled.

  I just watched an interview Ian Svenonius did with them and Thurston talked the entire time. I didn&apos;t really know anything about their relationship...just ran into it. I had to wonder how she felt about that. Being a woman who has been overshadowed by men my entire life. It struck me.
