A cabin in the woods was pretty good

The more Marvel turned Thor from a hero into a punchline, the more Chris Hemsworth's career seemed to suffer

The Cabin in the Woods, Rush,  Bad Times at the El Royale are all really good.

That's the curse of being in the MCU. You're only big in those movies. Nothing else. Minus RDJ, Scar Jo, and Samuel L Jackson.

The curse of not being a bad actor but hollywood simply not understanding your talent

He needs to pivot from action roles and lean into his strength, which is his comedic timing. He needs to do some romantic-comedies, maybe a remake of 'The Wedding Date'.

Transformers one was peak tbh. Shame the marketing did so much damage to it.

i think objectively. even though he has box office "flops". it's very rarely if ever due to him. dudes a legit leading man in todays era. but can also fill a funny supporting role if need be. the mcu stigma people use is so lazy and stupid. he can act in many different roles. just shows how dysfunction in a production or marketing can ruin perception more than reality. this is why once actors who make enough money start their own production companies and start being heavily involved in process to avoid bs like that.

extraction franchise ticked all the boxes for becoming just another action movie franchise with a hollywood star name in the middle but chris hemsworth nailed the Rake Tyler character and gave a lot more to that character.. his stoic approach with the character was great and he delivered emotion when it was needed in scenes.. i liked the first one a little bit more than the second one but both were great in my opinion..

In the Heart of the Sea, 12 Strong, Bad Times At The El Royale, Extraction 1 & 2 are all underrated movies, I loved them all.

The same can be said about most the Avengers, especially the ones who's big break came when they got their Marvel gig.  It's like Quentin Tarantino said, the character is the star, more so than the actor.
