As many of you have mentioned in the comments, the story in this video is not accurate to the true of events of 1812. Since recording this and reading through the comments we thought that it would be best to take a look at the real story behind the Star Spangled Banner and give it the respect it deserves. The typos in the lyrics drive me nuts! Many people think the anthem glorifies war but if you listen to the lyrics and understand the story, you understand it was Americans fighting for our survival and their will to overcome the odds. It's why Americans love an underdog because we were once one.

We, as Americans, don't hate the British. It was more a matter of maintaining our independence, and living under our own laws as we see fit. We disagree among ourselves how to do that, but we will absolutely maintain that we will not be ruled by any other country.
