Would you run room correction in a hi-fi system, or do you want zero DSP between pre and amp? This ARC X setup video is the first part. Next one will be the real test after I’ve lived with it for a couple of weeks.

Ok!! Canadian audio-nut here. I've been dying to obtain and utilize a room correction system but have been put off for various reasons. This ARC system really appeals in that it sits in the audio signal path via XLR. (yes!!) Learning curve seems almost nil. Now, I listen to low-mid to mid volume. Lots of classical, jazz, and some older soft rock. I am up-grading my speakers from my current Elac DBR 62s and as well my DAC. I'll watch as much of your Youtube videos re this unit and hopefully decide it would be a good tool to up my listening experience. I am actually excited and the price is certainly affordable. Huge thanks.. a new subscriber from Western Canada🇨🇦

I have been using Dirac for about 2 years. This system produces extraordinary sound.

I use MiniDSP Flex with Dirac. It is also a DAC. Very happy. If any of these devices had HDMI eARC input I would be happier.

A couple of things I learned about ARC recently...  Sometimes it is better to take fewer measurements so that the final correction is more representative of the sound in the listening position.  Also, don't assume that the computed delay values are optimal.  You can dial in your phantom centre by making small manual adjustments and it can also help to get a more even bass response.

Bought this system a few months ago, and i can agree wholeheartedly. It made a big difference to my Focal Alpha 80s which i run in a big room with very little damping, and no bass traps, as it is too big to do so! But thi improvement in hearing into a mix was excellent. The best £250 i have spent in my studio. I never turn it  off!

Figured this was an Anthem product.  Used Anthem ARC in my lastvsystem and was pleased with the results.  Surprised they didn't copyright the name.   This wont work in my current 2.1 system as there is no analog domain.  Mine is all digital from streaming source to speakers.  Using a bluesound node connected via spdif to Peachtree Audio GAN1 amp/power dac. I've applied room acoustic treatments in my new sound room and very pleased with results.
