We have a small pond in the corner of our greenhouse with a bullfrog. Natural pest control. It doesn’t peck the veggies like chickens do. He hibernates during the winter. It’s also a nice ambiance in the evening listening to him croaking.

Spider mites hate water that's why they are thriving inside. I would suggest sprinkler system on a timer. Dawn dish soap added to it dissolves insects protective layer of oil and they dry up. 😊

Your greenhouse is slow because of soil temperature. The straw insulates the cooler ground temp and prohibits the sun from warming it up. That's all ya need!!

Age chicken manure for at least six months, or until it's composted and smells like soil, before adding it to your garden. Fresh manure is too "hot" with nitrogen and ammonia to apply directly, as it can burn plants and roots. The aging process reduces the nitrogen levels and kills pathogens, making it safe and beneficial for your garden.

The problem in the green house is, the chicken droppings are too fresh and burning the roots.
You needed to let it age a few months. I had the same problem in my raised garden 2 years ago. Hope that helps. Enjoy the videos.

Hi! My name is Valéria and I'm Brazilian. I see that slugs are attacking your garden... when this happens here, I put a small jar of beer in it. They're attracted by the smell and end up falling in and dying. You'll eliminate most of them with something that won't affect your crops. Give it a try! It works. I wish you success! 🌻

Three suggestions for tomatoes in northern climates where we also live. Do not water them every day. Once a week is plenty and dont flood the plants. They do not like wet roots. The soil dried out a bit when you went hunting and the plants responded. The thick hay much is insulating the ground and not allowing the soil to warm up or O2 into the soil. When transplanting, add a tablespoon of epsom salt. It is not salt, it is magnesium which tomatoes need in cooler soils. When the plants reach 2 feet or so, apply a thin band of magnesium at the base of the plants.
