  Good video. I just find it hard to believe that Edmund De Rothschild wouldn’t have known what was eventually going to happen to the Palestinian population. A very well educated and successful guy like him would have known what happens to indigenous populations that face colonization. I think it’s naive to assume he couldn’t have known force and dispossession were going to happen eventually.

  The Rothschild family played an important financial—but not political or military—role in securing international recognition of Brazilian independence. Although Brazil declared independence from Portugal in 1822, Portugal did not formally recognise it until 1825, when Brazil agreed to pay £2 million in compensation and assume responsibility for an existing £1.5 million Portuguese debt. Nathan Mayer Rothschild and N. M. Rothschild & Sons helped the newly established Empire of Brazil raise substantial funds by issuing government bonds on the London financial market. The money was not a charitable contribution but a repayable sovereign loan that enabled Brazil to meet the financial terms of Portuguese recognition while establishing the Rothschild bank as a major financial agent of the Brazilian government.

  I think one has to judge the intentiond based on what his family did afterwards, in which way they influenced and supporter what we view as history today. Maybe u can make another video to analyze this.
