  I feel like jade was the mom that cat never really had. Since cats parents were always caught up with her brother,she was left alone. Jade knew what cat went through, she started to try and make cat have a better life while going through school. That’s why she carries around stuff to entertain cat, also she softens when cat cries. And gets mad at cat for real reasons.

  look closely at this show and you’ll see that jade was always protective of cat. example: when cats parents were with her brother for rehab and she was supposed to stay with her aunt and uncle jade was the one who noticed she was always at school. and it seemed like she was looking out for her to make sure she was safe. and when sikowitz threw a ball at her she screamed at him. also another sign of being protective of cat
