  Society would be far better off if we all treated our bodies like vessels that take us through our lives, that allow us to do what we enjoy doing our entire lives, instead of a fashion trend.<br><br>Biologically speaking, we fundamentally cannot treat our bodies like a fashion trend that comes and goes without pretty detrimental consequences. This is what people fail to understand or realize when body shaming people for not fitting the physical trend of the moment.

  No, it&apos;s none of our business what people do with their bodies. But when someone gets so thin, such as Ariana Grande, that we worry they&apos;re killing themselves, then we need to help. No one helped Karen Carpenter and look how that turned out.

  Hollywood has always been thin, but now it&apos;s gone beyond that; it&apos;s no longer even super thin; it&apos;s giving I hardly eat, emaciated and malnourished. It looks sick, and it certainly is not the body I would ever desire no matter how much Hollywood and the media try to push this body type onto society.

  I saw my grandmother 3 days before past away from Parkinson’s. She was so frail. She was emaciated. That killed any delusions I had about being extremely thin. Now I focus on being strong and healthy. Health is wealth. This thinness catches up to you. Osteoporosis is real. As they get older they’ll find out when they break a wrist.

  Being able to fit into various clothes while also making every &quot;man&quot; in the room feel confident they can break your neck. Its misogyny. Its infanilization. Yes i know there are naturally skinny people, but hollywood has always had this creepy skinniness obsession.

  I think it might be the stress and depression that Hollywood causes. But another angle I&apos;ve thought about with the celebrity thinness is, it&apos;s an inverted flex, like the tuberculosis style in Victorian times. <br> It says: &quot; I&apos;m rich enough to be frail, because I have assistants and servants to help me live. I don&apos;t have to be muscular like a working class person. I can be fragile like a fraberge egg, because people WANT to handle me with care. I have bodyguards, so I don&apos;t have to be able to fight off my own attackers. I have men who spend their own time in the gym to do that for me. My team and brand pays for my outsourced muscle.&quot;<br><br>This is why I think working class regular people shouldn&apos;t take the aesthetics of the wealthy too seriously. They live in a different world and that informes a lot of their weirder &quot;values&quot;. Hollywood is also full of pedos who want women to be teenager to shaped forever.. but that&apos;s a whole nother can of worms.

  I was a teenager in the 80s and 90s. Thankfully, I completely missed the heroin chic notion...probably because I lived on a farm at the time and part of my chores was chopping a ton of wood every week to stock up for winter. No way was I doing that with stick arms and poor core strength. I&apos;ve always associated extreme thinness with frailty, and that is not something that appeals to me.

  They aren&apos;t glorifying being thin, they are glorifying being skinny, and that is the problem. Being on camera makes people look a little larger, so to a degree it makes sense Hollywood would prefer thin and slightly skinny people, but it&apos;s come to the point that the person on camera looks full blown skinny, which means they are probably gaunt in real life.
